​​​​His Excellency Ambassador Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi hosted an iftar in Singapore to mark the Founding Day, with guest of honor Dr. Mohamad Faisal Ibrahim, Minister of State for Home Affairs and Minister in charge of Muslim Affairs, and the participation of senior officials and accredited ambassadors. The event was also attended by a number of islamic and community leaders, representatives of Saudi companies, and Saudi students, reflecting pride in the Kingdom's history and the strength of Saudi-Singapore relations and prospects for further cooperation. 

His Excellency delivered a speech on this occasion, noting that the Kingdom celebrates this auspicious event annually, and that this year marks the 300th anniversary of the Kingdom's founding. He added that Saudis reflect on this occasion on how their country was before the founding day and how it has become since, especially in light of the prosperity they are experiencing in this era under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister – may Allah protect them. His Excellency further stated that the Kingdom is taking this day as a starting point for the future, striving to maintain economic stability, develop economic resources, create job opportunities, support innovation, and encourage investment and tourism in accordance with its ambitious Vision 2030, while preserving national identity and societal values. He also highlighted the distinguished relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of Singapore, which led to the establishment of the Saudi-Singapore Strategic Partnership Council. This council will serve as a tool to enhance cooperation between the two countries in all fields, and the Kingdom and Singapore can work together to achieve the aspirations of their respective leaderships. Following the speech, attendees were invited to the iftar.​
